Dr Tess Everatt is a dentist at Beyond Dental who takes a calm, gentle and personalised approach to patient care. She understands that visiting the dentist can be stressful for some people and places particular importance on listening to each patient’s concerns and goals, helping them feel comfortable and informed about their treatment.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours from the University of Sheffield in 2019, Tess spent a year working in a hospital setting, where she gained valuable experience managing dental emergencies and treating medically complex patients. She has since worked across a range of dental hospitals and practices in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand before settling in the Bay of Plenty.
Tess’s experience across hospital and general dental settings has given her exposure to a broad range of patient and treatment needs.

Tess has a particular interest in helping patients restore confidence in their smiles through cosmetic treatments, including veneers, crowns and composite bonding. She also enjoys helping patients experiencing dental pain and discomfort, with her clinical interests extending to wisdom tooth removal, fillings and root canal therapy.
Her approach combines these restorative and cosmetic interests with an emphasis on communication and patient comfort, ensuring treatment decisions are made collaboratively and reflect each patient’s individual needs and goals.
Outside of dentistry, Tess enjoys making the most of the outdoors through hiking and scuba diving. She is also a keen participant in local triathlon events and has developed a real passion for the sport since settling in the Bay of Plenty.
