I want to know more about cosmetic dentistry, please!

Cosmetic dentistry aims to help you smile with confidence. It involves a range of dental procedures aimed at enhancing or restoring your smile. As well as improving your overall smile, cosmetic dentistry significantly improves your oral health and long-term function of your teeth. If it looks good, it means it works well too!

  • Are you too embarrassed to smile?
  • Do you dream of a new smile?
  • You want your old smile back?
  • Self-conscious about taking photos?

What are my options?

Your goals and needs for a smile makeover may involve one or more of the following cosmetic dental procedures:

1

Teeth Whitening

removes the stain and discoloration on the teeth for a brighter whiter smile, using custom made trays and professional whitening medications

2

Veneers

are thin shells bonded to the front of your teeth covering imperfections, changing the shape of teeth and even straightening your teeth

3

Crowns or Bridges

are similar to veneers in correcting appearance of the teeth while also strengthening the teeth, or closing gaps in your smile

4

Dental Implants

are artificial teeth for replacing gaps in your smile

5

Clear Aligner Orthodontics

are an alternative to traditional metal braces for straightening crooked teeth

6

Gum Treatment

preventive cleanings help whiten the teeth while gum lifts can reshape your teeth and fix a gummy smile

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is elective. It is all about you and what you want!

We provide proven professional advice on your treatment options to achieve your cosmetic dental goals and support you in achieving them.

Your personalised cosmetic dentistry (whitening, veneers, implants, clear aligner orthodontics, gum therapies etc.) can be taken care of in its entirety from beginning to completion and beyond, here at Beyond Dental. We are experts.

If you are still unsure about what options might be right for your smile, come in and visit us at 33 Toorea St, Papamoa Beach, Papamoa 3118, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

Your new smile can last you a lifetime. This depends on multiple factors including: type of procedures you have chosen, your regular attendance to the dentist and hygienist for maintenance, and your habits (smoking, diet, parafunctional, oral hygiene). For example, porcelain veneers while more expensive than composite veneers generally last much longer; teeth whitening can last for months or years for different people.

Your fees will depend on the type of procedures you choose and the number of each procedure you require. We understand the cost of treatment is important to you, and we believe in upfront honest and clear pricing. You can view Our Fees here and review our payment options.

The length of your treatment will depend on the type or types of procedure you require to achieve your goals. Some treatments like veneers or gum therapy can be completed in one visit. Other treatments like implants or crowns could require multiple visits. Cosmetic clear aligner orthodontics can take over 6 months to move the teeth into the correct position. Whitening results are usually satisfactory within 1 to 2 weeks.

No, your cosmetic procedures are rarely uncomfortable. Some procedures require the use of local anesthetics to numb the appropriate area for your comfort.

Almost all people have something they wish to improve about their teeth and more importantly their smile.

An initial discussion to help us understand your cosmetic goals, alongside our comprehensive clinical, x-ray assessment allows us to provide personalised treatment options for you to choose from. The next step is using digital technology to show you the end result you could have before you sign off on the plan.
